Final countdown

Each time I've seen one of our high schoolers this week they have given me the countdown to when we take off for Guatemala. I think excitement is building! As I write this, we have 15 1/2 days to go -- we leave two weeks from tomorrow. It's been quite a process, but I am so excited to serve with our teens and leaders. God has been reminding me daily of His guidance and provision. As suitcases arrive, craft supply boxes show up by mail, and skits are practiced, I am reminded how close we are to this adventure.

I look forward to boarding the plane in GR in two weeks because at that point, we'll be on our way and details will have to be complete! As a preview to our posts during our trip, I thought I would share the head shots of our team members that we took for our prayer partner cards.

Trip Schedule

Below is the tentative schedule of what we'll be doing while in Guatemala!

Friday, June 15th - leave GRR way too early (I think we fly out at 6 a.m.)
- arrive Guatemala City at 12:05 p.m.
- afternoon Orientation
- Dinner and Prayer for city on mountain top lookout

Saturday, June 16th
- Pacaya Volcano climb
- finish day camp prep

Sunday, June 17th
- Church at Iglesia Evanelica El Mensaje de Vida
- Lunch with church families in their home

Monday, June 18th - Thursday, June 21st
- Day Camp at Fundacion de Jehova and work projects in La Limonada (for families of school kids)

Friday, June 22nd
- Day at Mayan Indian Village for work projects, ministry, and visit with people
- Head to Lake Atitlan for the night; sleep at Lake Atitlan

Saturday, June 23rd
- Morning visiting villages at lake
- Afternoon, leave for Antigua
- Spend evening in Antiua; debrief time

Sunday, June 24th
- Praise and Worship service in Antigua
- Pack up and get ready to leave

Monday, June 25th
- Travel back home; arrive GRR 11:08 p.m.
